Recently, we found out we were moving countries again. Since then, naturally, I’ve been finding it more difficult to get things done, to write, to stay focused on my work. I caught myself wondering how I could possibly continue to build my business while we move. Should I pause it for now and continue in few…
I’m Renata, Global Life Coach for Expat Partners
Be that expat partner who found her way to be successful, confident and proud of her own work while parenting and supporting her partner around the globe!
If you are an expat partner and you feel like you lost part of yourself while following your partner’s career around the globe, I’m here to help you reconnect with your own identity, figure out your passion and translate that into doing work that you’re proud of and fits your international life.
I believe that having your own source of fulfillment makes moving around the globe much smoother. When you feel confident, contributing, talented, worthy and independent, you are less shaken by a transition. If you build your own thing that you can take with you wherever you go, you will enjoy your international life wholeheartedly and without resentments.
Supporting your partner’s career doesn’t have to cost your self-worth. Volunteering for the PTA isn’t the only option left for you. You don’t have to wait until you’re settled for good to start. The work can be done all online, wherever you are in the world right now. Learn more about Coaching to Find Your Purpose here.
As an expat mom myself, I also know that it is hard to focus on yourself when your kids are adjusting to a new school, language or struggling in any area. I’ve developed a coaching methodology to help parents maneuver their expat kids’ challenges based on my experience working as a child therapist, so that you can be the great parent you want to be and also have space in your mind to focus on yourself. Real great coaching is hard to explain in words. It’s an experience of shifting your perspective, exploring, questioning, searching, stretching, redefining, having insights and seeing things in a different way that opens up possibilities that you didn’t imagine possible before, as well as getting inspired to put them to action. That’s why all top athletes and executives have coaches.
The best if not the only way to understand coaching is really to be coached. I invite you to book a free coaching call now to experience it for yourself with no commitment at all. It’s all online, you can do it wherever you are in the world now.

Today I felt compelled to talk about common ways in which I see incredibly intelligent, talented and worldly women let their self-talk sabotage their lives; most of the time without realising their sabotaging. This self-talk ends up creating an internal environment that is very discouraging, and that impedes any interesting career path to flourish. Would…
As I write this posting, I’m just off of a phone conversation with a coaching client who wants to find a professional activity that is fulfilling and fits her life. She is overwhelmed by the all different choices she has and all the different direction she could follow. My client knows the advantages and disadvantages…
Is your kid is struggling in any area? Discover the unexpected question that may help you understand why.
All kids struggle in one area or another. That’s normal, and part of growing up. And all parents feel some level of guilt about it. In the expat world, that guilt a parent feels can be even stronger, due to that secret terror we have about how much moving around every few years is screwing…
Most of my clients have taken a career break to be able to follow their spouse’s job around the globe and take care of their families. After some years, or the third move or when their kids are older, they’re faced with a dreadful question: Have I missed the career boat? This is, in fact,…
by Renata Andrade on October 21, 2017 It’s October 2016, I get a letter from NYSED – New York State Education Department denying my application for the license to practice counseling. I joined four friends who were going start a coaching group with Renata. The initial proposal was for us meet for 4 weekly sessions of two hours each, as we all needed support and inspiration to put to practice again our professional purposes after a career break to take care of our families. It ended up being so good to everyone that we all decided to renew the group coaching for 4 sessions!
Renata brings a balance of sensitivity and challenge to the sessions. When we started the coaching sessions, I didn’t know what I wanted to do professionally, I was confused by the options and my confidence was really low. After 6 months I have figured out a path, I am working and discovering new opportunities as I go that I would never have thought of. More importantly, I feel I am myself again.
Working with Renata has brought me the opportunity to transform what were before only professional dreams into a well thought through, realistic and doable action plan.
The focus of the work was to look inside to find the clues to pave the way forward and re-activate and cultivate positive emotions related to professional accomplishments within the context of a life raising a family.
I left the each session feeling encouraged and empowered.
It’s been almost 6 years since I left my job to become a full time mom. Going back to my professional life seemed a daunting and overwhelming task. Now, even though I still have a long journey ahead of me, I know it is possible to do it, and I have been given many tools to support me along the way.
Thank you for the work, Renata. I am so glad I found you! Through our work together I learned to love who I am again.[:pt]Obrigada pelo trabalho, Renata. Estou tão feliz que eu encontrei você! Através do nosso trabalho juntos, eu aprendi a gostar de quem eu sou novamente.
Renata created a space for reflection, bringing exercises and questions that facilitated identification of my inspirations, blocks, fears, purpose and thus helped me face the challenges ahead and take certain steps towards my purpose. My experience with Renata was extremely positive, she has energy and sensitivity. The work we did was extremely rich and rewarding!
I had a wonderful experience working with Renata Andrade as a life coach. She was always prepared and used techniques that allowed me to dig deeper and look into my professional life from a very broad perspective. I started our sessions thinking I had to redefine myself and my profession in order to achieve professional fulfillment and balance motherhood and I work life. Throughout the course of 8 weeks, I got clear about how close I was to my purpose, learned how prioritize what’s important in my work life and set clear goals for the near future while not putting aside my family.
